Business Analyst

About the job

  • You will receive thorough introductory training to prepare you for client project work.
  • You will be part of a team with possibly more consultants like yourself, an experienced project manager and a(n) (Associate) Partner. You will have the responsibility of part of a project, closely collaborating with the client at various levels and with senior CSI colleagues.
  • Your work has multiple dimensions;
    • First of all, there is the responsibility to contribute to the content (analysis, design, implementation) of your part of the project, all the way up to delivering actual impact. You will be using the tools and techniques you have been taught up-front, ranging from Lean/Six sigma or Agile, organisational redesign to various change management tools.
    • You may also train and coach people you work closely together with.
  • Typical activities include: conducting interviews, preparing-participating-leading (parts of) workshops, process- and data analysis, conducting research, analysing and solving issues, forming hypotheses, developing simulation models, and supporting the development of syntheses, conclusions and recommendations, and their implementation.
  • You will receive excellent training and day-to-day coaching from colleagues and senior leaders on your teams.
  • Outside of the client projects, we welcome your ideas and inputs for further development and shaping of CSI BC itself. We are particularly interested in the perspectives of younger generations.
  • As you gain more experience, you can grow further into more senior roles, or specialise in a certain content domain. We have a thorough coaching and evaluation process, but no “up-or-out” policy. If you enjoy yourself and you add value to our clients and CSI – you are welcome to keep any role you like. In the longer run, you could run for partner, based on the contributions to our business.
  • Our clients continue to be Belgium based and EU-international, giving you the opportunity to do both domestic and international work.

Requirements and qualifications

  • You hold a Master’s degree and achieved an outstanding academic record.
  • You can demonstrate taking initiative and responsibility, and substantial contributions to meaningful extra-curricular activities.
  • Some relevant prior experience is not required, but it would be a plus.
  • You have a strong interest in operations, project delivery, operational excellence, and/or Lean-SixSigma.
  • You are enthusiastic to see your own work through and are motivated by actual impact delivery.
  • Solving difficult issues makes you give it your best, and you have the perseverance, the patience and agility to adapt theory to practice with all its constraints.
  • You combine razor sharp analytical skills, you love working with people from different backgrounds and you have excellent communication skills.
  • You possess an exceptional mix of passion, energy and entrepreneurship
  • We need candidates fluent in English besides French and/or Dutch. If your ambition is to work in Belgium, then fluency in all three languages is a must.
  • As we have a very cooperative and supportive culture, we are looking for people who want to be part of such a team and get energy from developing it further.
